LYMPHOMA is a type of blood cancer which affects the immune system. It originates in the lymphatic system and mainly targets lymph nodes and lymph tissue. The two main types of lymphoma are Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL).
It indicates that lymphoma is only in one group of lymph nodes.
It indicates that there is lymphoma in two or more groups of lymph nodes.
It is a cancer in which lymph nodes are present that contains lymphoma on both sides of the diaphragm.
An advanced stage of lymphoma that has started in the lymph nodes and spread to one body organ outside the lymphatic system or other organ such as, liver and bone marrow
It uses high-energy radiation to kill cancer cells and with high beams of x-rays (external beam therapy), the tumor and cancerous lymph nodes are directed. It may be used alone or in combination with chemotherapy.
It is a treatment involving laboratory-produced molecules called monoclonal antibodies that bind to the surface of cancer cells. It helps body to produce antibodies naturally and attack foreign substances, such as bacteria and viruses.
It is the most common and main treatment used alone or in combination with radiation therapy for lymphoma.
